Home & Harvest: Who is behind this homestead business?

So you're wondering who exactly is behind Home & Harvest? What exactly is Home & Harvest?

Well let me introduce myself. My name is Jillian and I created Home & Harvest to inspire mother's. I wanted to provide beautiful custom designs for my products as well as an atmosphere. A place mother's could find creative ideas, recipes, read about topics that myself or other mother's might be going through. So, this is me. Jillian. It's great to have you here. I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

What's your background you might ask?

I struggled at a very young age with anxiety and a panic attack disorder. I struggled in school, with tests and was distracted very easily. I didn't have the easiest childhood and I definitely did not make it easy on my parents either. My mother is an absolute saint and my inspiration to creating this business. She homeschooled my brother and I at a young age and a lot of my creations and designs come from my experiences in my childhood. My brother struggled with dyslexia and having two children struggling in school, I am sure was not easy on my parents.

Growing up I remember everyone giving my mother such a hard time about the idea of homeschooling. Little did they know how much those years would impact my life. While others were in school learning things they will probably never use again in life. My mother created games from scratch. We learnt about dinosaurs by mapping out our sandbox and digging for fossils. We made a pyramid out of sugar cubes and dissected rubber frogs. Those were some of the best years of my life and ones I will forever cherish. Not only did it create an amazing bond between my mother and I. But I learnt how to think outside of the box. I learnt creative skills that many children these days do not have.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because without that experience growing up, I wouldn't be here today creating all of this amazing content for you. I am so happy to be able to share with the world everything I became. My projects, receipts, products. are all inspired by my childhood. I want your children to experience a homestead childhood like my mother provided for me.
